The weather in the Dominican Republic is a summer during all the year, but the summer also can be different.⚡️
The average temperature throughout the year is about 28-30 degrees. At night the lowest one was + 18º in the east of Punta Cana. If suddenly it feels like to sit by the chimney in the Dominican Republic, you can also find it here, in the mountainous areas of Jarabacoa, Constanta and at the highest point of the Caribs – Peak Duarte, which is cold enough, and sometimes it’s even snow there.
🐚From November to April the weather is nice, but there is a constant breeze and sometimes a strong wind. Heat and humidity predominate. The temperature of the ocean and the sea at this time is usually a bit cold, as it is a “winter” in the Dominican Republic, but it does not really feels. December is considered as the windiest month. Therefore, for evening walks don’t you forget to take your light clothing with long sleeves.
🐚From May to October is considered to be the season of rains and hurricane. Actually, here rainy season is not really expressed; all the hurricanes are far away in the ocean, and we can hear only echoes. It can be cloudy, sometimes it rains. At this time of a year, the wind calms down, there is high humidity that is why it’s getting hotter.
🐚In July and August the water is really heated, it’s never getting cold. Its temperature is falling in the morning, but during the day water is warm. Since September it’s more windy, but the heat is still standing.
☝️Now I would like to tell you about the rain. We don’t have prolonged tropical rains here, the rains are usually short, it feels like someone has turned on and then quickly turned off the shower💦 But of course there are some exceptions, when a cyclone or a hurricane echo comes. This way the rains can continue for 1-4 days.
But, actually, here you can catch the rain in whatever day of the year. Once, we had May as the rainiest month, another year it was December, and the last year in May and June it wasn’t rainy at all and we were looking forward to have it. That is why it depends.
Come to the Dominican Republic at any time of the year, because the Nature doesn’t have a bad weather!🌴🌺
